
Ben is an executive leader with experience as a Chief Economist and public policy expert. He has published numerous policy reports on a breadth of topics including oil & gas, housing, economic forecasting, economic impacts and municipal finance. He has a proven record in advancing successful policy, regulatory and legislative initiatives at all levels of government in jurisdictions across the country for nearly 25 years.
Ben is a trusted expert and spokesperson on fiscal and taxation issues and has the ability to bring stakeholders together to advance evidence-based policy implementation. 
He has served as a Senior Fellow at the CD Howe Institute, and holds a masters degree in public administration with a bachelors degree in economics. Ben has experience working with a breadth of sectors including oil & gas, manufacturing, tourism, the public service, Indigenous organizations, municipalities, academic institutions, business associations and research institutes.
He has worked for Cenovus Energy, Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, The Calgary Chamber of Commerce, BC municipal affairs, and the Canada West Foundation. He has also served as a consultant for Indigenous organizations, municipalities, businesses, associations and academic institutions.
